What is a Domain Authority (DA)?

Domain Authority (DA) is a metric developed by Moz that predicts a website's ability to rank on search engine results pages (SERPs). DA scores range from 1 to 100, with higher scores indicating a greater likelihood of ranking well. The metric is based on a variety of factors, including the number and quality of backlinks, the overall SEO strength of the site, and its age.

While Domain Authority itself is not a ranking factor used by Google, it is a valuable tool for comparing the SEO strength of different sites and tracking the effectiveness of your SEO efforts over time. A higher DA can indicate a well-established, trusted site with strong content and a robust backlink profile. However, it's important to note that DA should be used in conjunction with other metrics, such as Page Authority (PA) and actual traffic data, to get a comprehensive view of a site's SEO performance. Building and maintaining a high DA involves consistent efforts in creating high-quality content, earning reputable backlinks, and optimizing site performance.
